Cynthiana/Harrison Co. E-911 Addressing Requirements:
-
All applicants applying for a new address must complete a
911 Addressing Application. Read and fill out the form completely. The standard processing time for addressing is 7 to 10 working days.
-
Applicants must pick this application up at the
Cynthiana-Harrison County-Berry Joint Planning Commission Office located at 111 S. Main Street, Suite 2 (the Old Courthouse Building ) in Cynthiana.
-
Please do not submit the addressing applications form until you have installed the driveway/approach you intend to use for primary access to your property. Addresses will not be issued until an established footer and/or driveway has been installed on the property. The address that you are assigned is specific to the location where the approach intersects a named road or private drive on the earth’s surface.
If you move your approach after addressing occurs, you will be assigned a new 911
address.
-
All splits of land must have a Parcel Id Number
(Harrison County PVA Office 859-234-7133) for the tract of land or a legible copy of a plat.
-
Subdivisions must have approved street names before plats may be filed. Addressing of subdivisions may take up to 3 weeks to address.
After all requirements are met, a confirmation letter will be mailed to the property owner at their current address. Their completed application will be returned along with a map indicating the new 911 address location.
