City of Cynthiana Occupational License Tax Notice:

The City of Cynthiana has enacted Ordinance #1450 as required by KRS 67.750 to 67.790 relating to the imposition and administration of an Occupational License Tax by persons and business entities conducting businesses, occupations and professions within the City of Cynthiana. This ordinance went into effect 7/1/2008. 

Please note a new format and a statutory penalty new exists of 5% of the tax due for each calendar month, not to exceed 25% of the total due, with a minimum of $25.00 if not paid on or before the due date. In addition, an amount equal to 12% per annum simple interest on the tax shown due, but not previously paid, from the time the tax was due until the tax is paid to the City.
