Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I am truly honored to step into the role of Director of Tourism for our vibrant city and county. Cynthiana and Harrison County are rich in history, culture, and opportunity, and it is this unique blend that inspires me every day. As I embark on this exciting journey, I am committed to building on the solid foundation of growth and innovation that has defined our community for generations.
In this role, I will focus not only on boosting tourism in Cynthiana and Harrison County, but also on continuing the important work of the Cynthiana Main Street Program. This includes advancing downtown economic development and serving as the Public Information Officer and communications specialist for both city and county organizations. My mission is to celebrate and elevate everything that makes our community exceptional—from the timeless charm of our historic downtown to the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds us. By nurturing positive relationships with residents, businesses, and visitors, my goal is to ensure our city and county are thriving destinations that leave a lasting impression.
Together, we will embark on strategic marketing and public relations initiatives that highlight the heart and soul of our community. We will attract new opportunities while fostering economic growth, particularly in our downtown area. The Cynthiana Main Street Program will remain central to our efforts, preserving our heritage while creating a vibrant future for generations to come.
I am excited to collaborate with city and county leaders, work alongside local businesses, and engage with our incredible residents. Whether you are a longtime resident, a small business owner, or a first-time visitor, your voice is invaluable. Together, we will share the story of our community—a story of resilience, innovation, and pride.
Here’s to a bright, prosperous future for Cynthiana and Harrison County. I look forward to the journey ahead and the many opportunities to come!
Warmest regards,
Sam Lunger
